Read the papers today, the controversy of NKF'S chief's paycheck. A whopping sum, from public funds. An excerpt from the papers as follows:
Lawyer: And the man who earns $1000 a month who takes out $50 of his pay packet every month thinking that is going to save lives, should he not know that is the kind of money you earn?
T.T Durai: There is nothing wrong with the money I earn.
Lawyer: $1.8 million, i wonder what is wrong. $1.8 million. Should the man who takes $50 out of his pay packet of $1000, leaving $950 for him, his wife and his children, with no savings, should he not know that some of that money is going or has gone into a $500 000 to $600 000 pay package for you?
T.T Durai: Surely he knows.
(T.T Durai digressed, Judge emphansised on his need to answer the question and asked the question again)
T.T Durai: No, your honour, I do not see a need for him to know.
It really didn't matter whether or not we know how much your paycheck was, it was the matter about your conscience. Travelling first class (with business class entitlement, so you says) with public funds, probably from people who could have never even taken air travel before. How could you even bring yourself to do that? Your name is synonymous with NKF's, how you behave is what the public will view NKF to be. Don't you feel remorseful, not a single twinge? Those NKF fund-raising shows, who seems to be playing every weekend, are they raising funds to pay the people running the organisation or does the money goes into the 21 dialysis centres?
Seriously, how could you bring yourself to do pocket all these?
I'll say, pray. Pray hard NKF don't dip in popularity. Pray hard that people won't judge. Pray hard money still comes rolling in for all these patients under your umbrella.
Your behavior simply disgusts me.
