about a boy named Ryan

I used to have this really close friend,
a boy who sat in front of me during the days when I took the school bus to school.
Everyone called him a sissy, he was known for his feminine actions.

Once in a childish quarrel, and he wrote a poem to say sorry.
Proclaiming how sorrowful he was and how much I meant as a friend to him.
That brought a smile on my young face, reddened by the cheers the school bus mates made.

Today I saw him again, after several months since I last saw him in the papers.
We went our seperate ways 5 years ago,
he to the elite Raffles Instituition,
me to a neighbourhood Damai Secondary.

Ryan (Su) was dressed to the nines,
a style that screams that he is super metrosexual,
or simply a gay.

Everything came forth to me,
I so wished I've kept contact.
I really hope he doesnt turn out to be the latter, for he is one great guy with a passion for gardening.

Somehow I feel that I once played a part,
in labelling him a sissy and teasing his feminie side.
It was as if the sociology's labelling theory came true,
and I, a guilty accomplice.

Somehow I wish he'll hear my prayer,
Ryan Ryan, a guy too good to be out of touch for the females.
