3 very nice japanese helped me today.

its an amazing day today.

despite everything (or someone) else who`ve got me really irriated today, i`ve managed to enjoy myself tremendously. Gibili Museum was our stop, some big ass jap anime fellow (and studio i think)producing big shot films, i.e spirited away. I could never finish exclaiming how inspirational this place have been, and the musuem today just awed me more. They pay so much attention to details, it makes everything so impressive. Too bad no pictures were allowed into the museum, I seriously don`t know how to put it in words. In short, the museum looks like a scene out from all his films, and it sucks every kid out of the most mature adult.

and then after, i went shopping in some up and coming area in Tokyo, Kichijoji. Frantically looking for some super uber local Yakitori place, i got lost. The first lady i sought help from not only gave me directions, but even brought me to the place. I was almost at the other end of the area! The second, a jap who grew up in the States, made conversations and ordered my dinner for me. She said i was damn courageous, braving `danger` and having dinner admist rude japanese old men in suits. it was her first time here alone, and hence she was surprised to see me next to her, alone too. Haha.

now here`s the big part:

i got treated for dinner by some cute looking japanese banker! he kept giving me portions of his dinner, asking me to try in his cute broken english. he asked about my sentiments towards North Korea, the brewing UN meeting (about the nuclear war issue), explained to me the japanese language and talked about his travels to various city. and before i left to scurry for the closing shops, he insisted i take 500¥ to settle the bill. wah!

some random thoughts:
because they are detailed, therefore they are patient.
because they are conscientious, therefore they are polite.
because they are meticulous, therefore they are impressive.

seriously, i love japan.
don`t think i can get enough of it for this half a month.
maybe i can do my SIP here,
maybe i can further my studies here.
hmmm....

though alot of things don`t turn out as what they promised to be;
like the japan i always thought of it to be,
mysterious, oriental, extremely beautiful, extreme japanese.
somehow appear ordinary.
but what that is really out of the world,
is the people here and their pride in their work.
the service is top-notch,
the warmth is heart-felt.
here, they give out flyers and tissues packets in suits.
wow man.

i miss my previous room-mates; kayi and saphira.
one lesson i learnt, don`t travel with stubborn people who don`t share similar interest at all. that`s why i`ve been enjoying myself wandering around Tokyo alone. i guess you see more that way, you learn more getting lost, and you can practically hear your thoughts. There`s no need for distraction, just listen to yourself. I`m safe, so don`t worry. :)

Tomorrow, its out of Tokyo for me, to Yokohama.
oh, and yesterday, i went to a small town`s festival called the.. Ikegami Honmoji Festival. Parades of traditional lattern `flinging` and twirling, coupled with humongous crowd of people. The gigantic buddhist temple sits on top of a hill, so the parade of people followed the parade of lanterns way up. Beautiful sights, a little closer to the Japan i conjured. And then downhill, it was `pasar malam` all the way, except that candy floss cost $7.50 per bunch. blehs.

so much more to say... but i`d stop here.
steph! how come your tagboard needs some kind of password now. :(
i wonder what the big M said today. (or was it some other day?)

3 more days in Nippon!
