Last saturday, for a very long reason, i got really annoyed with my parents' and their ability to plan, and in my childish ability to portray my tolerance, I stormed out the car and got stranded in the suffocating mass of people rushing to beat that two percent.
I stood there really lost for a while, thinking here I am back alone in town. What a loser indeed. Stared at the Mango sale, deciding I shall spend the money needed to pacify my anger on Food instead of Clothes. Feeling really pathetic of myself, I called Mark hoping he was still in the area.
I soon hopped onto a shuttle bus I never knew existed, staring at a perspective of Orchard I never appreciated and met him at Great World City for a long overdued dinner. It somehow managed to surprise me how Great World City conjured an impression of a typical Malaysian shopping mall. After a few rounds, fickle Stef decided on VietTai, and feeling spoiled and rich, ordered more than I could have eaten.
Ranting and giggling got us past dinner, and then we decided the night was young enough for us to head to Siglap. An insane amount of time stuck on 16 with stuffy aircons and burning butts were enough to change our minds, and at midnight, Mark missed his last bus back and had to settle for another that led indirectly to his place.
There are just some schoolmates that always have weird timetables or modules diffferent from others, close but yet distant people whom we never had the time to spend with. Mark (and Meiyan) happens to those few. Saturday turned out to be yet another random fun night, I look foward for more to come.
Sometime next time we will succeed in (getting Fei to finally patronise the HongKong Cafe and) surviving a later night the next time round kay. Swinging singles ought to stick close to pass the foolish reminiscing for distracted fellowship moments.
