Thought of the Day

I love you not because of who you are, but because of who i am when i'm with you.
somewhere along that line but not exactly appropraite to use the intensity of the word "love" now. spending time to know one another as friends, building the foundation and establishing the trust. I'll never stop wishing for a firm, matured, lasting relationship and this time round, its still the same. I'm gonna hope i'm going to get it right. As i reflect and ponder, i realised a major mistake everyone can make is to jump into a relationship in the heat of the moment and blinded by your overwhelming attraction to your partner, thinking and hoping you'll know one another better that way. It may work, but it doesnt, always. I guess the best advice i can give to anyone involve in matters of the heart, is to fully understand your partner and handle a relationship with a matured perception in which you don't just follow your heart but use a little of the mass up there in your head. Being a little wiser, and older, the image of a romantic relationship evolves to something more matured. It can no longer be called puppy love or infatuation. It can no longer be where your prince sweeps you off your feet and bring you to neverland where a happy ending pursues. It becomes mutual, becomes compromising and accomdating, becomes a two-way communication flow between two individuals who have shown interest in one another. The special friendship takes time, where both individuals grow and understand one another as each day passes by. Never taking things for granted and always appreciating one another might help in a long term relationship. The sense of discovering new terrain and new experiences should never die out, for i think, it keeps the passion and fun spirit alive. There's so much more in life than to get hurt again and again, seriously, give a little thought and learn from your mistakes. Be happy, for that's what it matters at the end of the day.
