questionable behaviors, we feeble females.

why do women still love men who makes use of them?
.
"read my lips"

this 2001 french movie about a extremely uptight, conservative, overqualified deaf office girl with the incredibile ability to lip-read. the kind who probably never wore anything sleeveless, nor any skirt above her knee her entire life, and yet has the secret fascination with portaying her inner sex goddess by parading around in heels she never wore out, and lacy black bras she studies in front of the mirror.

miss prim and proper hungers for attention, and goes to a employment agency awkwardly seeking for a man her age, with "nice hands". she meets mr. just-served-time-shaggy-haired bad guy and treats him with much kindness, while wary of losing her job, by consistently covering his inability to perform and even helping him find a place to stay. mr bad guy, with nothing to offer, tried giving her what he thought she was lusting. In true virgin style, she recoiled and yet discreetly kept maintaining the lust of consuming the relationship.

somehow they got more involved in ways disapproved by law, and Carla (miss prim-and-proper), in her longing for attention, and every women's innate attraction to guys that spell trouble, stuck on and got embroiled in Paul (bad guy) plan to rob a lot of dough by using her superwoman power to lip-read in rooftops.

In many little occurences in the films, one can study a female's weaknesses and her inability to function without involving her emotions. Carla's slow transformation, from being the boring office girl to her wanting to appear more attractive, strikes a chord with almost every other female out there. ( HOW MANY TIMES DO WE KEEP TWEAKING OUR APPEARANCES, OUR ATTITUDES JUST TO APPLEASE THE MALE IN QUESTION?! )

Carla knows he's big trouble, and yet desperately tries to find many instances in which she felt, represented his little care towards her as a person, not a "mindless piece of meat" to be used to his advantage. In her desperation, she continuously perform to his commands, freezing on the rooftops to lip read all night. Why do we always get stuck in that vicious, questionable position, knowing the dangers and yet stretching the risk of it?

But it all ended with the sex. This time not because Paul felt obliged to, but because they both had a connection, she giving her whole conviction and aid to his robbery attempt, and he loving her for the person she become to be. It felt like she waited rightly for it, and when it finally happened, it was just beautiful. (All assuming their last thought in mind was the law catching up on them)
.
hence this is why we are termed the weaker sex.
